Long Valley Health Center stands against racism and all forms of racially motivated violence. We support Black lives, Indigenous peoples, and all POC.
We, as an agency and a community, know that we still have work to do. In that spirit, we accept responsibility to embrace and empower diversity.
Actions we are taking:
Strengthening our tools to support a diverse workforce.
Acknowledging racial health disparity and the effects of structural racism on health status because racism has a profound impact on health outcomes.
Actively working to dismantle racist and discriminatory policies and practices across all of health care.
Actively working to reduce the prevalence and impact of violence through advocacy, education, and legislation.
This is not an exhaustive list, but it is what we can put into action today. The structural racism we are witnessing nationwide undermines the health of individuals, families and communities. We hear you and we are here for you.
