Expanded Phase 2 Reopening, Mendocino County
There are four stages in California's reopening plan, called The Road Map to Recovery.
On May 20th Mendocino County announced that, "the State of California posted Mendocino County’s self-attestation on the California Department of Public Health website thereby allowing additional Mendocino County businesses and services to open with adaptations and implementation of industry guidelines, including retail stores for in person shopping and dine-in restaurants."
Health Officer Dr. Noemi Doohan issued a revised Shelter in Place order on May 21st: "The major changes include allowing limited dine-in restaurants, limited in-person shopping at retail stores, and clarification that preventative dental care is allowable under healthcare operations."
According to California's Resilience Roadmap, Stage 2 will begin with "gradually opening some lower risk workplaces with adaptations at a pace designed to protect public health and safety, starting with:
Retail
Manufacturing
Offices (when telework not possible)
Outdoor Museums
Limited Personal Services
Limit time outside the home and travel only for permissible activities, such as healthcare, food, outdoor exercise and recreation (individuals and households only). Stage 1 and 2 work, and local shopping or other activities related to open sectors."
What will not be open in Stage 2*
Salons
Lodging for tourism
Bars
Entertainment venues
Public pool
Public events or gatherings
*These activities may resume when California, as a state, moves into phases 3 and 4 of the reopening process.
