Medically Assisted Therapy
Long Valley Health Center is glad to offer many methods of “Medically Assisted Therapy” (MAT) for people who would like medical help in getting free from drugs or alcohol.
Some of our MAT is prescribed medications such as buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex) for recovery from opioid use, and naltrexone (Vivitrol), acamprosate (Campral), and disulfiram (Antabuse) for alcohol recovery. We can also offer medications that make withdrawal much easier and safer while “detoxing”.
Our therapists can offer excellent support as well, and we try to help with social issues when possible. We have been working with MCAVHN volunteers who have extensive experience helping, providing supplies, and connecting folks to recovery groups and counselors.
MCAVHN provided anonymous services every other Thursday 11 am - 4 pm. To confirm dates of services please mcavhn contact at (707) 462-1932 or visit their website at https://mcavhn.org/.
Our medical care providers believe in “harm reduction”; meeting the person wherever they may be on their journey toward recovery. We can screen for and cure hepatitis C and other blood-borne diseases.
Syringe access and free naloxone (Narcan) are other examples of harm reduction we offer.
You are welcome to call or come in!
