Family Medicine Physician with a Specialization in Women's Health and Obstetrics
Dr. Parungao, a board-certified family medicine physician with expertise in Women’s Health and Obstetrics, has joined Long Valley Health Center as our Medical Director. She will see patients three days a week while leading the center’s medical team.
Before stepping into her current role, Dr. Parungao served as Program Director at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Family Medicine Residency for three years, where she practiced full-spectrum family medicine. Originally from Atlanta, GA, she gradually made her way west during her medical training. Early in her career, she discovered her passion for teaching and worked with middle and high school students with special needs before pursuing medicine.
Dr. Parungao earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. After beginning her career in OB/GYN residency at the University of New Mexico, she realized her true calling was in Family Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine and Community Health training at the University of New Mexico and later advanced her professional expertise through the UCSF Faculty Development Fellowship (2021) and the National Institute for Program Director Development Fellowship (2022).
Dr. Parungao provides care for patients of all ages, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics, with special interests in obstetrics, outpatient gynecology, community medicine, and outpatient procedures. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, playing the ukulele, and spending quality time with her husband, Eric, and their daughter, Aiyana.
